Harold Shaw was the Brisbane proprietor and hardware merchant operating George Shaw and Co., a prominent enterprise with a strong history in the CBD.Shop passed onto Harold and other shared owners via George Shaw.

George Shaw (Dad) – aged 42. Residence: 180 Priors Pocket Road, Moggill.

William Shaw’s parents: George Shaw & Eveline Hobbs – note: sometimes this is misspelt as Evilina.

Buried at Albany Creek Crematorium.

Cause of death from certificate:

Fulminant bronchopneumonia and Subarachnoid haemorrhage.

Interpretation: This was a sudden brain hemorrhage or stroke of blood around the brain with no warning. Followed by 16 days of decline and pneumonia.  THis gave Dad time to visit. As kids, we did not know this was going on.
